“There can be no argument that children are our future. How we care for them is crucial! Every person carries within themselves a little child. How we treat children is a reflection of our own self worth and self love. We are born with those healthy feeling about ourselves intact. The saddest of all the crises on this planet is the abandonment of our responsibility to our children – to all children everywhere. There could be no quicker fix to all of our problems then to feed, clothe, educate and love every child. A child that grows up whole cannot will harm on anything or anybody. If we really want to save our planet and humanity then we need to start with the least of us. Children have no real control over their lives and situations – they are vulnerable and need compassionate adults to protect them. We must step up and step in whenever and wherever we can.”

In my book A Mindful Christmas ~ How to Create a Meaningful, Peaceful Holiday I encourage giving where it truly is needed and to perhaps forgo some of the festivities like office parties.- in order to support children in need. I asked people if they could share with me a charity that was close to their hearts and that supported children in need. The emails were many and I because space was an issue and because I wasn’t able to research each one in depth, I decided to create this list in lieu of including this many in a chapter! Of course it does not have all children’s charities on it, it can’t! This is just a small spoonful in a large sea of needs.

Please search your heart - I know this list is overwhelming and it’s quite shocking to realize that so many children of the world are in need. Please do your research and know that any gift will make a difference!

This can be a resource list for any company or organization to use as a means to find a charity that you or your group can use to locate a charity for children to support.
